Making Sense of the Chaos.

Why the name

American astronomer Annie Jump Cannon (1863 to 1941) devised a simple, elegant, data-based system to classify stars quickly, accurately and consistently. Her system brings order, even today, to astronomers' study of the night sky's overwhelming complexity.

The same problem faces foodservice manufacturers: more signals than anyone can hold, and a decision to make anyway.
